1000 Posts in the Junkyard!

Sagiri Eromanga Sensei Celebration jumpingJust a quick, self-indulgent note to celebrate that we have hit the milestone of 1000 posts today.  For a blog that only started less than three years ago, that’s quite an achievement.  Over the course of those 1000 posts we have explored every episode of Doctor Who and many of its spinoff episodes, every episode of The Prisoner, and anime series The Melancholy of Haruri Suzumiya and Erased, and we are well through our journeys with Babylon 5 and Another.  We have explored many other series on an episodic or whole series basis, including over 100 anime series and films, plus many other interesting articles.

We’re not slowing down any time soon either.  We will hit the 2000 milestone just as quickly as we reached 1000.  So what’s coming up over the next 1000 posts?  Well, it’s not all set in stone, but we will definitely be completing our Babylon 5 journey, and that will include all the films and the spinoff series Crusade.  We have already started our reviews of classic Star Trek, and we will be starting an episode-by-episode look at the original series of The Outer Limits later this year.  We are never going to neglect Doctor Who, the first and biggest series we have explored in the Junkyard, so the Big Finish reviews will continue, along with spinoffs Torchwood and Class.  As for anime, we recognise that this is now probably the most popular area of the Junkyard so we will be doing a lot.  Once we have finished Another, we will be tackling several other series on an episode-by-episode basis, including The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan, Elfen Lied, Brynhildr in the Darkness and Girls’ Last Tour.  The film and series reviews will continue, and we have some great ones coming up, including My Love Story!! and Absolute Duo, and there will be more articles in the very popular Fanservice Debate series.  We are also broadening the scope of the blog, with some upcoming history articles that will be of interest to fans of film, television, and anything weird and wonderful.

And these are not hollow promises.  So many blogs get established, run for a couple of years and then fade away.  Not us.  We work well in advance of the blog post dates, and the vast majority of the articles I have mentioned above are already written and scheduled, and we are working on exciting additional articles and posts for further into the future.

Thanks to everyone who has read some of our first 1000 posts, and I hope you will all join us for the next 1000!   RP
